your girl has been through a very rough patch...god knows why they did an operation on an 8 weeker, let alone let her leave her mommy so young ...

Both umbilical hernias and most inguinal hernias will shrink and disappear as the puppy grows I am curious why they thought it necessary to remove it so young.

I would suggest feeding this pudding receipe...it might give you a soft stool for a bit but will help pack on the weight.

Pudding Recipe

Mix
large 4 cup size vanilla pudding
½ cup sugar
4 cups of milk
4 egg yolks
Cook on low heat to pudding consistency and offer to pup at body temperature. She can eat as much as she wants.

OR from scratch...
mix the following in a saucepan and cook to pudding consistency.
2/3 cup sugar
6 tablespoons cornstarch
½ teas salt
4 cups milk (or one can evap milk plus equal parts water to make quart)
4 egg yolks
3 teaspoons vanilla

Feed with syringe, on spoon, or let eat from bowl.

I would also suggest getting Nutridrops and Benebac

hope this helps
Happy Holidays
