Indy is gone now to be with God. We let him go Sunday after church service. He made it through the night Saturday and seemed to rally in the morning, but when I came home from church and checked him, it was clear that it was time to send him home. Not the gift I would have wished for Christmas, but God was good to give me Tink a few weeks ago to learn to love before Indy had to leave.

Tink keeps looking for him and crying - bless her little heart. She is really going to miss him even though she teased the dickens out of him. He was so patient with her.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts of us. We do appreciate it. 17 years is a long time to have a little guy to love and be loved by. It will be tough to look at his empty place in the living room and to not have to watch where my feet are in the bed. He was a very wonderful little buddy, he saw me through the loss of both my parents and my best friend. Now, I'm saying goodbye to the best furbaby I ever had.

Father, keep an eye on my little guy and make sure he has lots of grass to run in. He dearly loved to do that.

I am sitting here at almost 3 in the morning and crying for you and your Indy ... 17 years is a long time, but itz never long enough. I hope your strength and spirit help you thru this ...
You will never get over it, but with time you will get thru it .... baby steps, as long as they go forward.
