What I did is speak with a representative and obtained a pet code when making the travel plans. Since I did the kiosk myself, I just checked in when going to pick the yorkie. On the return with the yorkie, I had the curbsite airlines check me in and they didn't see a thing as I have a travel carrier that is from Petedge that looks like a purse. No one asked and so I didn't say anything. If they had asked, I was prepared just to say that I thought it was included in the fare. But didn't have to answer anything. This is my third time and the other times, I said something and they of course asked for the additional fee.
