Personally, I think your Yorkie will adjust. Give him/her treats whenever she gets close to the other dog without spooking out. And don't give your Yorkie special attention when it spooks out, that just reinforces the behavior.
I found a great vitamin and herb pill they sell for dogs called Quiet Moments. It really calms the dog down, to the point of them sleeping through a thunder storm or gun fire. You might get that for your Yorkie until it adjusts to the new puppy. |
