I see people selling puppies on the side of the road all the time where I live.
When I see them, I wonder how healthy are they, and are they going home with a real dog lover, or someone that only wants to harm them ? ....sellers on the side of the road to me really don't care - they want that 50 or 100 bucks....at least that's how it LOOKS to me...I could be wrong
On the Breeder's side and being scared of people coming to your home - I would think screening all your calls VERY Carefully - Getting call back numbers and maybe their vets number ...so you can really trust who's actually in your home..but that still isn't going to cover a breeder if someone comes back later - it IS a scary world for sure - what a shame....
Meeting a potential buyer in a close by place could work - you can show them the puppy and they don't know where you live...Tough choices...and I know this isn't much help... |
