I come down to Florida to visit my Grandma and when I do I take precautions. Normally the bugs aren't any worse here than anywhere else, except for mosquitos in the summer but I imagine any place by the water would be the same. The worse thing to worry about here is sand spurs! Those rechod things will get in their paws so you need to make sure you watch where you are walking them and make sure its short cut grass or keep them on pavement or clean sand. For bugs, I have Jaden on Frontline which keeps off fleas and ticks and I also spray him with an organic bug spray buy Aubree Organics. If you google it you should find it. I think its called "Doganics" or something like that and it smells so good like baby powder and keeps all of the flying insects away from him. Of course he also wears clothes, shirts or sweaters and sometimes pants and those add a little protection to for his back. |
