We just brought home Shelby, our new baby (8 week old Yorkie). Our other Yorkie Lexie is 9 months old. Lexie weighs around 9 pounds and Shelby is a little over a pound. Lexie is showing her dominance by standing over Shelby. They seem to want to play some, but I am afraid that Lexie is going to hurt Shelby unintentionally. I'm hoping this works out because I wanted a playmate for Lexie. She has always loved it when her mom, dad and littermate brother come to visit. Shelby is from the second (and last) litter from the same parents. I am now a little nervous that this might not work out. Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to help things along?
