Well, my son is leaving next week to live with my Dad and stepmother. They're in Carlsbad, NM, which is a 12 hour drive away. I've been crying for days and seem now to be in the numb, accepting stage. He's been my constant companion for 14 years and this is going to be a big adjustment for both of us. My Dad and stepmother are extremely excited to have him, so that makes it better, but I can't help feeling a little like I've failed him somehow.

Thanks for all the posts in the previous thread. Please keep us all in your prayers that this turns out to be a positive move for all of us.
