She scared me to pieces. I saw some pieces of wet brown paper on the floor and realized that while I was in the bathroom, she tore off a leaf of my Croton plant and munched it into little tiny pieces.

I called the emergency vet hospital and they said to reconstruct the leaf with what was left to see how much she ingested. It was about a 1 inch piece. The vet said that she might have some burning and itching in and around her mouth and want lots of water but thought Tink would be OK because she didn't eat very much.
Good grief that scared me!

I thought she was going to die or be hurt for forever.

But that was two hours ago, and she is fine. She drank alot of water for awhile and peed her little heart out, but she seems fine.

So, everyone - don't leave any Croton plants out. I got one from people at work and had just brought it home. I didn't realize it is poisonous.

It's going way up high somewhere - or maybe I'll just chuck it.
