I got Chewy from a pet store... he is the cutest little guy ever. But I would want to interact with a pup before I bought them... it will be a member of your faily for many years... You want to see the little guy or girl first! She could have taken the yourkie out and held it so you could see it at least. I think her rule makes some sense... Passing a young Yorkie around from person to person could be bad for the pup... but on the other hand she could have let you see the baby run around and play. Our pet store has a room where they disenfect the floor, you can go in and play with the pup and hold them as long as you sanitize your hands before you hold them.
pet store dogs are not all sick or bad, but you really want to make sure they are healthy and vet checked right away... and there is always the risk of illness... You don't know the parents of the dog...
