Aww... I feel so bad for Eddie. You are doing the right thing by going right back there. Loki can be fearful and he acts just like that - happy to walk away from whatever he doesn't want to go by but freezes if we walk towards it. He also will get so far over his threshold that he won't accept a treat. My trainer tells me to use a better treat and not to let him get that far over the threshold before offering the treat. Lure Eddie a little closer each time. Having Jack along helps too.
