The eagle would have grabbed it by the back and once an eagle has ahold of it's prey, it doesn't let it go. And compare the size of the small bird to the fox/wolf. The fox/wolf has too long of a nose to be a baby so the proportions are all wrong. Also, the proportions of the fox/wolf to the eagle's body are all wrong. I'm the one you'll see swerving all over the road trying to miss wooly bears and frogs so there's no way I want to see any creature get hurt. Therefor, that's my theory on that picture and I'm sticking to it. But, no matter what, it is an awesome pic.
