Thanks! I really appreciate everyone's input. (can you tell I'm obsessing? Two threads!) I think the best thing will be to get a boy. Kirby's pretty mellow with other dogs, but the more I think about it, Ginger seems to do better with males. Most of her best buddies are boys...
Of course, Ginger and I will be really outnumbered by Kirby, Fun Kitty, Hubby, and the new little guy (whoever he is).
