I'm afraid of just that. Ginger has absolutely no food aggression with my male dog, and is happy to share her stuff with the other dogs that come over to play. However, the only dogs she seems to have issues with at all (albeit minor) are other females. I don't want to turn my sweet little girl into an aggressor.

Sounds like it worked out really well for you! I wonder if it helped that your second girl was a puppy? I know what you mean about the marking, but I'd rather deal with belly bands than aggression. BTW, I had a male schnauzer when I got married too (he was the only dog unti l we got a shihtzu pup together). Schnauzers are great dogs!!!
