Default Have to give it more time

My Spencer had the same thing after a visit to the groomer. I taught myself how to groom him and his brother, so we never have to worry about that.

Anyway, vet gave him atropine ointment and antibiotic ointment. The atropine had a very bad effect on him. His pupil was dilated for 16 days! It was like a big wolf's eye glowing in the night. I thought he lost his sight.

We were at the vet's every 5 days. The ulcer healed nicely. The vet researched the atropine and said some smaller breeds have this reaction. We only put the atropine into his eye twice!

Be more patient than nervous. It took 3 weeks to completely heal, and we kept all the shades drawn and kept the house as dark as possible to avoid the light going into that dilated pupil. He was not allowed outside.

As long as your baby is making progress, that's fine. If the ulcer is not on it's way to healing, then by all means, see a specialist.

It's very scary.

In my thoughts and prayers.

Let us know how it all goes.
