I'm sorry for your horrible experience. I was really worried about Zoe's wheezing as well and when I took him to the vet, he saw no problems what so ever. The vet said that they are just cleaning out their throat. Believe it or not, dogs get hairballs too. I've seen them and they are GROSS!!
Hope your baby feels better. Mine is on antibiotics for a fever and he is fine.
