Thanks you all for your replies! I'm really enjoying reading about all the mischief your yorkies make.

Getting into laundry (lol at the bras!) . . . shredding paper . . . CHEWING on walls (!?) . . . they sound adorable!

Really, though, it sounds like normal doggie behavior to me, and like some of you mentioned, it can be cute because they're small.
Our staffie does things like rip up throw pillows, tear apart comforters, and run off with and destroy whole kleenex boxes and potholders from the kitchen counter in the blink of an eye (she is spring loaded, I swear!). No shoe or laundry hamper is safe! And once we left a set of 10 lb plastic coated dumbells in the living room, and came back to find her making great progress chewing them up, and then she came up to us prancing around with one in her mouth like a bone. And she's not even knee-high!

So . . . I think a yorkie's antics would be no problem, lol.
And it is nice to hear about the variation in yorkie temperaments. I guess I would have to ask the breeder for one that is less dominant (not the first to eat), and more cuddly. I hope I could find a breeder to sell to me though, so many of the good ones seem super picky about placement and we have two larger dogs.
