That information should be available through the BBB, I would imagine. If you know anyone who has a small pet, I would ask them for a vet recommendation. Also, you might just choose one and question them about their experience with these small babies. I had to take Toto to a local vet here in Colorado for a Health Certificate required by the airline ... my husband asked for a vet recommendation from one of his co-workers [an animal lover] so I called and made an appointment. I really liked "Dr. Bob", however, he readily admitted that Toto was the smallest dog this age that he probably had ever examined, it was soon evident that if she required any sort of invasive treatment while we are here ... my husband and I agreed that unless it were an absolute emergency and there were no other choice we would definitely rush her to Alameda East in Denver [I already have the preliminary forms downloaded and ready to fill out ... it's about 260 miles!]. We are fortunate that we have a wonderful vet at home that specializes in the treatment of these little babies and I can hardly wait to get Toto to her on the 21st for a good checkup!! Dr. Lucy hasn't seen her since 11/1 [I like for her to see her once a month] ... we are probably too careful, but we were that way with our "human" children too!!!
If I were you I would begin that vet search immediately so as to be sure that he/she is competitent in case you have an emergency! That way you can have a little peace of mind, just in case!
