Now I'm going to play devils advocate. I'm not saying this is my particular point of view, I'm just saying that this could be something that happens in breeding... sometimes papers don't mean a whole lot. I've been to places where they have so many dogs running around that there is no possible way to tell for sure what dogs breed to what dogs, and they just register the pups with what ever parents look best on paper. I personally know some one who had an AKC female and male and then and non-registered female. Well the non-registered female ended up having beautiful puppies, AKC female none. So in order to register the puppies they said that the AKC female was the dam. You never know unless each dog in the entire line was DNA tested. Even if you miss just one dog that could be the one that was not full breed. And sometimes dogs that are not full breed do look full breed.
