It depends on the store. Target or Wal-Mart will kick your butt right out. Smaller, independent stores are usually more lenient. Do you have a purse to put your yorkie in? A lot of the dog carriers out there look EXACTLY like purses so if your dog is well-behaved enough you can get away with it. Sometimes, if I'm feel gutsy enough I'll just walk right into a store carrying Howie (Staples and Eckerd I've done this at).
Butttttt, you said you've only had your yorkie for a week. Some considerations: it might be scared to death, if it isn't up to a certain point with all of the appropriate vaccinations it could get sick and if it's still a baby it can't hold it's bladder for very long and doesn't know how to tell you it has to go potty yet so chances are an accident is imminent. |
