Unfortunately, we have a large fish pond in our back yard. With this comes hundreds of different plants. I cannot identify them all and have decided that I'm going to teach my dogs not to eat ANYTHING but their food/treats. This will be no easy task as they've already favored ants and even one worm *yuck*.
I vow to spend the summer following them around and loudly saying "ick!" when they start to eat anything. If they can be trained for other things, they should be able to be trained NOT to eat plants, right?
P.S. I've heard some sad stories and so we've taken precautions by stapling screening between the footbridge and the water so the dogs can't fall off. They're always accompanied by one of the family and watched VERY, VERY closely when they're outside.
