I would probably think it was a boy's name as well after first hearing it, but I think it could go either way. I'm getting a new baby girl in April and I think I'm going to name her Maddox. It's a boy's name, but I thought it was cute and it goes with Maizee. And nicknames can always change the sound of the name. With Maddox, I could call her Maddy. So, it's something to think about
