I'm not sure if our experience is typical or not, but we have a green-winged macaw who has gotten along great with a lab, a chihuahua and now two Yorkies. They don't exactly play, but there is no hostility between the birds and the dogs. There was curiousity in the beginning, and Eddie was a little pushy. But the bird stood up to him, and that was enough to convince him to be nice. Now they are all at home sitting on their mama's lap together.
