 Yorkies and Parrots
Hi there,
Im very new here, and I dont even have a yorkie yet. And, before, I get one, Im really researching,,,especially the parrot angle. I do have two parrots, 1 african grey and 1 white cap pionus that Ive had for 17/16years. I have two large lab mixes and I had a 17 y/o mini schnauzer (she passed last year) I never left the birds alone with dogs or my cats. But, maybe once or twice a year one may decide to take flight around the living room or climb down from their playpen. Hubby and I taught dogs and cats (yes u can train cats) to "freeze" when a bird was involved and they did. Havent had any issue in 17 years, but, again, Im real careful
But, Im a little concerned with the yorkies,,they are natural little hunters, from what I understand. Im real interested in all responses.
