Don't worry about it. There are lots of time left for them to learn how to be independant and to be trained. The first week is reserved to bonding only--> not everyone will agree but for me, I just focus on bonding with him in the first week. No training, no disciplining. After all, if he is bonded with you; it will be easier for you to train him down the road. My baby is 6 months and he turned out fine. He listens to me well and he knows I love him but he knows I am his leader, friend and most importantly, his Mommy. I know he feels safe and being loved and when there is anything he is unsure of, he will look up to me for directions which makes me laugh because he looks confused and its funny If you trouble with him pee pee everywhere, you may want to puppy gate an area off and stay there with him so its easier for you to clean
