My mom is going through the same thing you are! My aunt called her up and said "I'm making this, so you need to bring this"...my mom was P'O'd! It reminded me of this thread, and I told even told her about it. Then my aunt told her that she's telling her sister to bring something else! I'm not sure if my mom told her "don't tell me what to bring though" she said that's what she was thinking, but I'm not sure if she said it.
Before people said that people were making the holidays all about gifts, now it's like people are making it all about the food.
