I asked people in the medical profession about hiccups in babies and they gave me an answer that would make sense for puppies too. They said that when a baby/puppy's stomach expands and grows, they get hiccups. So I guess if your pup is having hiccups, it means they are healthy and growing (hopefully not into fatties). My little Coco has hiccups either daily or every other day. I just assume her little tummy is growing.
