My yorkie is 2yrs and 9months old and weighs 3 lbs. I love him to death if he was bigger or even smaller than he is. The great advantage to having a 3-4lb dog is that it's soooo much easier to take everywhere. I know there are plenty of of healthy tinies out there but I wasn't so lucky. After surgery and meds and diet change he is doing great. I know there are lots of people who never owned a tiny yorkie that say they really want one when they see my little guy but they have no idea how much extra care the tinies require.
I myself prefer the smaller ones that weigh 3- 4.5lbs but I have fallen in love with much bigger ones
