We use Revolution, it protects against fleas, ticks, heartworm, and protects against and treats ear mites and sarcoptic mange. I like that's it's all in one, once a month. Less than 1% of animals have any reaction to it, and that tends to be stomach upset. It costs the same as other flea meds, but does SO much more.
