During the training phase, you might want to try to change the pads more often. I think my dog is a neat freak or something, because he won't go on his more than once or twice. So if he poos, the entire pad is gone. If he pees, the entire pad is gone. And that seems to be working better. He's way more apt to go on it when it's perfectly clean. You could also try putting the box by the place that they have picked to go. I've done that, and it's worked wonders.

As far as outside training, I'm not a big help. My baby learned by watching his big sister!
