Pee pad training is fairly easy. You take one and pick up the piddle or poop so the scent gets on there and you take the baby to the pad and show him/her that is where to potty. They get their scent on the pad so in time they learn somewhat. You also have to take them there when you know they will pee/poo and put them there until they go and then highly praise them. Yorkies love praise.

I dont' have a doggie door because my yard isn't fenced in. I would have loved to have one. But even if you have a fenced in yard you still need to becareful. Depending on where you live you may have a problem with other predatory animals or people that steal pets. So if you do choose to use a doggie door be sure to monitor his/her comings and goings.

OOPs the doggie doors are not heavy. They have a variety of types. Check them out and decide which will be best for your situation.
