It depends - there are sooo many diff ways breeders do it. There is either the breeding every other heat...the breeding two times and one heat off...two breedings with two heats off and then the sad one of breeding every single time with never a rest. There are other things that need to be looked at though...such as how many puppies there were, how the mother was and if a c-section was needed.
