I got Mo when he was 3 and my husband swears he is in love with me! He bonded immediately and gets along well with my whole family.
Perhaps she is meeting you at a pet store because it was a easy landmark, a public place and a good place to shop after you get a new pup! I wasn't quite sure if you were just meeting her there or actually *meeting* her there.
