i haven't tied to crochet but i do knit. knitting is really easy. it was hard at first but prolly because i tried a bag first. my sugestion would be to try and knit a wash cloth first. i will never suggest making a blacket first because it is long and takes a while. and when you are learning something new you need instant gradifaction!!!
