Legally, puppies can go to their new homes at 8 weeks.

I really do not think it is the admins place to say "you can't let your puppies go or take deposits on them until they are 10 weeks old." Now before you flame me, and say it is for socialization of the puppy, I really think that depends on the puppy. Autumn wanted NOTHING to do with Chewy once she weaned him. She didn't want to play with him or anything and we didn't have any other puppies for him to "socialize" with, so there really was no socialization reason to keeping our puppy to 13 weeks.

I discussed with my vet and another breeder I know and they both agree that 8 weeks (as long as the puppy is healthy and eating and has a normal development) is a good age to go to their new homes.

It was VERY hard letting Chewy go. He was 3 months old and not only had he bonded with us, but we bonded with him and he was somewhat stressed over leaving with strangers. He has adjusted now, but I would prefer my puppies going to a new home around 8 weeks of age so that they are not bonded with my family before going with their new family. IMO, the longer you keep them, the more bonded and attached the family and the puppy are to eachother and the harder it is to let them go to a new home. JMO.

Start throwing your stones.
No need for throwing stones Alycia, I think that to each his own and I too had the experience with my poodle and when my pom had her puppies, the mom wanted nothing to do with them plus they bonded with us and my other dogs so when it was time to let them go the owners had a rough time b/c they were the only pet. I believe that each female is different and each family is different as well.
