The Biewer is NOT a mix -- it originated from two traditional Yorkshire Terriers who carried the recessive piebald gene. Their country of origin is Germany, and they are now being imported to the US. (Of course, I am just a little prejudiced -- cause she's mine!!! lol) Seriously though, they are wonderful little doggies -- with a lot of the yorkie traits -- but they also seem to be different. Can't quite put my finger on it to explain it... There's a lot of good information and several good breeders out there -- but you also have to be careful, as there are also some breeders who don't care what they are breeding or selling (both in Germany or in the US) Best thing to do is do a whole bunch of research!
