Thank you all for your well wishes, prayers and advise from both perspectives. Tia is back at home resting. I have gotten some good news. The vet here has found a Orthopaedic Surgeon in Winnipeg that will preform the surgery. The fracture is on the bone close to the ankle and involves the Achilles Tendon (sp) so its pretty important to get this done. The good thing about Winnipeg is that it will mean only one flight instead of 2 if I went to Saskatoon. So I have booked a flight for tomorrow( as there are no flights available for Sunday) and have her booked for Monday at 8:00 am. I know that if I don't try and get this fixed, I'll never forgive myself!

This has really got me to "take up the cause" about these breeders who breed these small dogs. Tia was a runt and I guess that happens. But to intentionally breed these tiny babies is so maddening.Whats worse, is that the people who get them don't know what they are getting themselves into. I knew, thanks to YT, some of the risks I'd be taking taking on a tiny dog. But the heartache I have had today can't be measured.

I'll keep you all posted as to her progress. Again keep us in your prayers that all goes well with the surgery on Monday. Thanks
