Cry The news wasn't good

I just heard from the vet. Tia has fractured the bone that runs along the back of the leg to the ankle (the really thin one). Her being only 2 1/2 pounds is causing quite the problem. The vet up here says that he won't even attempt to fix it, he doesn't have the tools to do it and is afraid he could do more damage than good. i was very happy that he was honest. But what this means is to travel about 400 miles to Winnipeg or to the University Hospital in Saskatoon. In either case, its going to cost a fortune. i'm already hearing the so called "realist" say that i should just put her down and whats to say it isn't going to happen again. i'm not even thinking that way... I don't care about the cost, I just want her better. But am I fooling myself? I'm so confused... is love blinding me????
