layla did the SAME thing... we finally have taught her to "come here" and we point on the ground... she has learned that means to come... stay still... get picked up... and of course since this is new.. she gets BIG rewards and treats! she still wants to run sometimes when you go to pick her up.. but i keep saying.. come here... and pointing to the floor infront of me... try.. and good luck!
