it zips up completely like a purse if you want it to.. i usually undo the side zipper and let Bentley put his head out... everyone is always like omg ! your dog is so cute..i wont tell that hes in the store... but if i get the feeling people are going to get upset..i just zip it up.. he can still see out the front side and top of the bag!
