I have a yorkie named Fletcher too (and another named Dexter)...
Fletcher is my jumper, he jumps about 3.5 feet from the back of the couch all the time!! I tried to get him to stop, knowing how fragile their little bones can be, but he won't stop. One time he did it and must have landed funny or wrong and he yelped and then cried hard for about 5 mins, it was REALLY scarey and I had to put him down to see if he could walk on the leg. Well I think he scared himself more than hurt himself... he was fine! He immediately started walking on the leg and jumping around again so I was lucky!
I try to teach him to jump off the front of the couch where its much lower, maybe a foot high at most bc I don't have carpeting to cushion the fall... but he won't! I hope that I don't have to go through that with my fletch!
I hope your baby is doing much better now!! |
