Default Posted about a week or so ago about possibly pregnant yorkie.

The problem is my vet does not wish to operate on her if she is pregnant. The vet has me on a wait and see approach. If she is pregnant she will need a c-section. Her nipples are still hard and raised. She is now burying everything under blankets. She takes her buring very serious and barks, whines, and growls, the whole time. She is also sleeping more than usual. A 1/2 ride in the car wipes her out for the day.

The worse part is I was planning to get Cozy spayed on November 21, but she went into heat. She came into heat after I made the appointment. The vet did not want to spay her while she was in heat. I did not know when she truly went into heat. My golden retriever was unneutered at the time and has seen be altered. I had him altered November 30 because she was driving him nuts, he needed ear surgery anyway, and he is now nine and I no longer planned on breeding him. Back to the topic at hand. I do not think she is heat any longer no swelling of her vaginal canal, bleeding, or discharge. Her nipples, however are swollen and she is eating more than usual. When she was in heat she was eating the same amount of food as before but now she is always begging for food. Are swollen nipples and increased appetiate signs of pregnancy? The vet claims there is almost no way she could be pregnant because the golden (+100 lbs.) would have harmed her (10.5 lbs) in the process. The only dog she has ever had contact with unsupervised is my golden retriever. Once I discovered she was in heat I kept a diaper on her 24/7. The only time the diaper came off was when we was going to the bathroom outside with supervision. She is only 7 months old!!!!!! Someone tell me if I am over reacting or not. The vet says I can want and see if I want.

I just found out grrrr last night that she was in contact with one of the neighbors dogs while in heat. I had gone to work and left her in the kitchen with her diaper on her crate and when I got home she was still in her crate but the diaper was off. I said something about her possibly being pregnant to a friend last night and my grandfather who lives with me and my family said "Oh I forgot to tell you I took her out a few weeks and had a dog of a time getting her back into the house. She did not want to come back from the neighbors. Those diapers are for the birds." The neighbor's have a minature small black mutt the same size as her. So now I am more convinced than ever that she may be pregnant. The vet has me monitoring her weight. She has already gained 1.5 pounds since she went into heat.

Help!!!!
