Question why does the AKC registration matter that much?

As long as she is healthy, that is all I care about - and I didn't EVER use to care about that, but w/ so many of our rescued dogs always getting sick or having to be put down, and us paying for this one, I want her to be healthy.

Boy, I hope she can come to our home!!! I have been checking and waiting all afternoon/evening!!!!
Why are the papers so important? You can see if she is a pedigreed ... I rec'd AKC papers with Monday and then I sent the AKC my money and registered her. Had her spayed and never will she have pups.

I am not even certain where Monday's AKC papers, her vaccination history etc. is because I had to put all my stuff in storage when I had my place renovated ...
I figure my vet has all the info, so why does it really matter if you have the papers. Am I naive?
I say go for it if the pup has a good temperment and is healthy! Have your vet check her out and all.
