Gosh, if your friends think you're mad for doing all of the above, I must be mad too, and perhaps a lot of people here.
Before I got a dog and fell madly in love with them, I had similar thoughs ( I admit it) When I saw people bring their dogs to the stores, I though why don't they just leave them at home...but I completely understand now as I take them everywhere. Simple, I don't want my dog to be home alone. I'm her buddy and she's mine. I talk to her, I sometimes let her sleep in my bed, I spend hours playing with her even after a long day of work and I'm exhausted, and we even have 'thanksgiving' meals together (canned thanksgiving meals for her that is)We take her everwhere possible. believe it or not, I even took her to Las Vegas in a hotel (we almost got kicked out but that's a different story) We just LOVE our dogs!! I for one don't care what people say or think. |
