 Winter Insulation?
Both my Adult Male & Female gain about 2 lbs. a piece during the Wintertime, they get alot heavier since they are not as active as they are in the Summertime. As soon has we get warmer weather the will run and play longer and more often, right now it's too cold so they just run in and out to use the Bathroom. I don't worry that they go from 6 & 7 lbs. to 8 & 9 lbs. I'm not such a weight fanatic b/c I know they will burn it off. They are also a bit darker in coloration during the Winter, during the Summer they are outside Sunbathing all the time....we live across the street from the Beach, they actually turn into Platinum Blonde. It's like having 2 totally different dogs depending on the time of the year. |
