That was so scary!! We have so many Red Tail Hawks here too. The little baby was even on a leash!! Wow!!
I did see on another show a while back, this boy and his dad sitting at a picnic table with their pet hamster. They had the cage sitting on the table at one end, but had the hamster out at the other end. It was caught on film, this hawk swooped down and took the hamster. Now I'm almost afraid to take them out at all. When we put our fence up in the spring, it will have a topper of some kind on it.
Knowing me, I'll try to walk them and be watching the sky and trip over something. Not safe either way....
