I think you will. Basically you will teach her it's OK to go in the house and then not OK. If you need to leave her and can't take her outside I think it's OK to leave her in a pen with potty pads, but not to praise her when she goes there - just ignore it. Then praise her for going outside when you are able to take her out. It might slow down potty training but it's better than confusing her.

We started going outside as soon as we got Loki, when he was also 13 weeks. We crate trained him and didn't use pads. Lots of people on here use pads though so they might have some advice.

Why do you want to use pads and then switch? I say go for whatever you want as the end result.
