YES! It is better for his stitches to get air and it is fine for him to lick his stitches, too. The only time you'll have a problem is if he tries to bite out his stitches. This is very unlikely, though. I would just hold off on the onsies, diapers, satellie, ect. until you get him home. If he doesn't try to bite his stitches out then everything will be perfectly fine.
