I had a Cairn growing up. Best dog ever! He started the terrier bug in me. I wanted a yorkie, parents got him not understanding me fully. He had no skin problems that I can recall. His daddy was a champion, so I called him "Champ", that's kinda funny now that I think about it
They are very fiesty and outgoing. Great dogs with kids. Not a mean bone in his body. He would catch things "mid air". Great ratters. (we had a horse barn so I can vouch for that) I'd love to have another one someday.
