1. Who is the doctor doing the surgery -- your regular vet will do the surgery and a surgery tech will also be in there watching the vital signs and assisting with the surgery
2. When do i bring him in for bloodwork -- you can either take him in a couple of days before the surgery to get bloodwork done or you can get the bloodwork done the morning of the surgery...it's just a matter of personal preference.
3. what kind of anesthesia is best -- Isoflourine gas....talk to your vet and make sure they do not use a Barbituate injection or IV anesthesia. Neutering only takes a couple of minutes so your little one will not need to be under anesthesia that long. Therefore, Isoflourine Gas is definately preferred over IV anesthesia. |
